Between the cancellation of the Remington Steele TV series and his multi-movie stint as James Bond, Pierce Brosnan was Taffin (1988), Ireland’s most sought-after tough-guy debt collector. When a shady conglomerate wants to build a chemical factory in Taffin’s hometown, the locals turn to him for help—but then some of them turn on him when the rules of the game change. Taffin is a swift, nifty action movie wherein naked Alison Doody will have you pulling your taffy.
