The romantic drama Summer Heat (1987) stars Lori Singer as a Depression-era farmer’s wife named Roxy who cheats on her overworked husband with their farmhand Jack (Bruce Abbott). She begins to resent her husband and wants him dead, but when she neglects the child to be with Jack, resulting in her daughter being scarred for life in an accident, Roxy feels remorse. You’ll be feeling the summer heat yourself when Lori’s stingers make an appearance in a dimly lit bedroom scene.
