Review

José Miziara directs from his own script in Pecado Horizontal (1982), a saucy Brazilian comedy about three friends who ditch out on a wedding ceremony to drink and reminisce about the past. Marcos (Paulo Ramos), Guina (Antonio Fonzar), and Bruno (Danton Jardim) haven’t seen each other in more than a decade, so when a wedding in their hometown brings them together again, the friends decide to use the opportunity for some old-time carousing. Among the topics of discussion are the friends’ many sexual conquests, which they describe for one another in vivid detail. Fortunately director Miziara’s a fan of the flashback technique, allowing bombshells Matilde Mastrangi, Zilda Mayo, and Mariza Sommer an opportunity to get horizontal.
