The turn of the century animal horror movie Lake Placid (1999) was about a calm little lake in New York that one day has a giant crocodile in it that’s looking to make this place its new home. The movie tries to make a horror/comedy hybrid that doesn’t really fulfill the requirements of either genre. There is however, quite a bit of Betty White cussing up a storm, which acts as a bit of saving grace for an otherwise tame thriller. There’s also the presence of Bridgette Fonda to mildly excite us when she swims underwater. Unfortunately, she’s fully clothed, but the clothes are tight, and give us a great view of her shapely perfection. A lot of the focus stays on her glutes. I’m sure the croc wouldn’t mind taking a bite out of that!
