Fear (1990)

Brat Pack veteran Ally Sheedy uses her psychic powers to solve crime bafflers in the creepy police procedural Fear (1990). Director Rockne S. O’Bannon didn’t strain anything coming up with a title, but in this case it fits--Sheedy’s game turns frighteningly dangerous when the serial killer she’s trying to nab shares her paranormal gift. As the cat-and-mouse game levels, the hunter becomes the hunted in O’Bannon’s cinematic exercise in fright. Fortunately there’s more to make the heart beat faster--a stripper played by Michelle Foreman adds some scintillating relief with an exotic dancing scene.
