Hard Luck (2006)

Wesley Snipes plays an ex-con who has trouble going straight in Mario Van Peebles’s gangland crime drama Hard Luck (2006). Newly sprung from prison, Lucky (Snipes) agrees to attend a birthday party for a mob boss he used to work for despite his vows to go clean. As it turns out, the party is a front for a bad deal involving turncoat cops, suitcases of cash, and whizzing bullets. Desperate to escape, Lucky commandeers a stripper’s sports car and hits the strip with the pole dancer sitting shotgun. If he can only stay out of prison, it looks like Lucky’s found himself a pretty enviable arrangement––curvy Jackie Quinones is just the kind of sidekick any bad boy would beg to have along. In fact, Lucky gets quite lucky when he checks into a seedy motel room and tests out the mattress with the spicy Latina.
