French Quarter (1977)

To this very day, tourists who take a trip through the historic sectors of old New Orleans are struck by a spooky, dark undercurrent that seems to be flowing from the murky corners of the Crescent City’s provocative past. Nowhere is this sense of ominous gaiety more pronounced than in the French Quarter (1978). Imagine the unsettling effect upon an attractive, single, modern-day woman who makes the trek to the Vieux Carré and then takes a side trip back more than one hundred years and finds herself in the midst of a sex and voodoo scandal that has her making some hard decisions. Should she submit to being naked fodder upon the gris-gris altar or hold out for a white slavery position as a lingerie-shedding entree at a connoisseur-quality brothel? While pondering this R-rated film’s question, consider the exclamation point you’ll be feeling while watching a bevy of babes bare their collective breasts for the camera lens. For starters, Melon Knee (Cheryle Kipe) reveals her rack just 10 minutes into the movie. That goes double for topless Ann Michelle in the dual role of “Policewoman in French Hotel” and Coke-Eyed Laura. The same can be said for Gertrude “Trudy” Dix/Christine Delaplane (Alisha Fontaine) who flashes her three Bs. Meanwhile, Lady Lil (Dino Head) proves “the lady is a tramp” when the be-thonged babe displays her nude boobage on a stripper stage. If that’s not hot enough, Ice Box Josie (Laura Misch Owens) shows off her perfect peaks and fluffy muff. Merci beaucoup!
