Flavia the Heretic (1974)

The genre called nunsploitation is a niche-niche market, but try it once and the hairy palms at Skin Central feel it’ll become a habit. Flavia, la monaca musulmana (1974) stars Brazilian bombshell Florinda Bolkan in the title role as a nun in seventeenth-century Italy. The Tarantula Sect invades a convent. They are cultists that defile the place by having an orgy in the chapel and desecrating the altar in, oh, such sexy ways. While there is plenty of skin—none of the nuns wear clothing—there is plenty more violence, but of a kinky kind. If you like your sisters of mercy begging for mercy then this is a movie for you. It also marks the only nudity from Raika Juri onscreen, which is a nice nugget of naughtiness.
