Cabo Blanco (1980)

Filmed entirely upon a paradisiacal island in the Gulf of Mexico, the lush and gorgeous Cabo Blanco (1980) shows that every one of Eden’s apples has its worm of evil. Tough but honest Charles Bronson is an American expatriate biding his time in the sun and sand of a tropical Heaven on earth. He is approached by dark-tanned, angelic vision Dominique Sanda, who seeks his aid in recovering a stash of sunken Nazi loot, waiting to be scooped up off the sea floor. When Bronson declines, Sanda goes to the dark side, enlisting the help of a former German officer. The cunning Kraut has an agenda of his own, as does the island's thoroughly corrupt chief of police. Bronson’s idyllic days of contemplation and repose are numbered.
