Review

The Treasure of the Amazon (1985) is a river supposedly overflowing with diamonds. Donald Pleasence plays a Nazi out for the booty. Stuart Whitman is simply The Gringo. But it’s Sonia Infante as the topless leader of a tribe of tough women warriors that is the real treasure here. She spends most of the movie in a getup that lets her goodies get out to play. Whether she’s on horseback or wading through a stream, her flesh diamonds are sparkling rocks.
