Breathless (1983)

The neo-noir flick Breathless (1983) is the same-named remake of Jean-Luc Godard’s French classic from 1959. The R rated adaptation follows Jesse Lujack (Richard Gere), a Las Vegas drifter and car thief who likes rockabilly, comic books and crime. But the real find in this Hollywood version is Valérie Kaprisky in the role of Monica Poiccard. It’s basically the same character as Patricia Franchini who Jean Seberg played in the original movie. Critics panned Valérie’s performance at the time of this film’s release, but her flesh flashing has Mr. Skin ready to release! This is especially the case when the sexy starlet shows off her acting chops — as well as her ravishing rack — just 23 minutes into the pic! As the plot unwinds, many twists and turns arise like the members on audience members. But the only thing you need to know is to pay attention at the 47-minute mark. That’s when the nude ingénue bares her bouncing breasts, bush and bum while having sex with her lucky lover on screen. If that’s not arousing enough, Valérie continues to tout her gorgeous body while rolling around in bed with Dick. You know, Richard. There’s more skin to see when the two take a shower. Quick, get a towel! The film includes the music of Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis Presley, Sam Cooke, Brian Eno, Philip Glass, Mink DeVille, The Pretenders, and X. Too bad the movie wasn’t rated X. Nevertheless, Ms. Kaprisky exposes enough skin to guarantee this thriller is thrilling!
