Bang (2025)

The title is actually the main character’s name, whether real or adopted, and it’s a fitting moniker if your job is world-class assassin, which it is. Played by Jack Kesy, Bang is a gun-toting hitman working for a crime boss named Morgan (Peter Weller), and his killer reputation has made him more than a few enemies. One such adversary finds him at a cigar bar and shoots him several times, but Bang’s life is saved in surgery when he receives the heart of man who died in a car crash while bringing his pregnant wife to the same hospital. Something changes in Bang now that he has his new lease on life, causing him to obsess about his donor’s wife Gwen (Marie Broenner) and newborn. But his literal change of heart doesn’t sit well with Morgan, as he fears it will affect his work. Despite all the killing, Bang wasn’t too bad a guy to begin with. During a job, he lets two topless prostitutes (one played by Anastasia Maslova) run for their lives at least. And he’s not the one who takes out poor Alisa Arunahiran and her honkers by gunning her down in the shower. But those definitely aren’t the kind of bangs we were hoping to see!
