Where the Crawdads Sing (2022)

Kya Clark (Daisy Edgar-Jones) has been alone for most of her life. Her family lived with her in the marshlands of the deep south but her abusive father pushed her mom and siblings away one by one, until one day he also leaves, so Kya is all by herself at 10 years old. Now this young girl lives a life of solitude, raised by the marsh around her and outcast from the townsfolk who live near by and only know her as "Marsh Girl".  When a local fisherman's son, Tate (Taylor John Smith), takes a shine to her, he helps her learn to read and write and bring a little bit of the outside world along with his love to the reclusive and whip smart beauty.  When Tate goes off to college a new boy, the local football star, rich kid, and all around charmer, Chase Andrews (Harris Dickinson) shows up and woes Kya. The two begin a love affair but when Chase is found dead in the marshes, all the townspeople immediately point fingers to "Marsh Girl", who is arrested for the murder of her lover. Now the outsider is put in front of a biased jury of townspeople who loved Chase and fear her, as she fights to avoid going to jail for the rest of her life and losing her beloved marsh in this coming of age tale set in the 1950s South.  Daisy Edgar-Jones might not show a ton of skin, but she's as sexy as ever in this one with a couple of sex scenes, proving she's a world class hottie indoors or outdoors in the marsh!
