Review

Yugoslavian-born sensation Sasha Montenegro made a big splash in a number of Mexican films in the 1970s, but few boast sultrier performances than the seedy crime drama Un Amor extraño (1975). Based on a story by Edmundo Báez, the lurid plot offers plenty of opportunities for Montenegro to show all her drool-inducing parts in the bedrooms and swimming pools of shady gangsters. Montenegro’s full-frontal glimpses more than compensate for any shortcomings in the by-the-numbers genre film.
