Veteran character actress Christa Linder appears in a rare lead role in the cosmopolitan Mexican melodrama El Ardiente deseo (1970). Linder plays the wife of an upper-class factory owner (Jorge Mistral) who puts his godson (Rodolfo de Anda) in charge of the family business while vacationing with his wife. Upon their return, the wife begins some hanky-panky with the godson, which convinces him to knock off the hubby and claim the woman as his own. The film’s resolution arrives in a spray of bullets, which is a shame because Linder looks mighty fine while she’s still breathing. The honey-blonde goddess makes sure to show some skin during her sex scenes with the obviously enamored de Anda.
