The Truth About Demons (2000)

Is it live or is it Demonrex? That’s the problem for Karl Urban as an anthropologist trying to unravel the titular riddle of The Truth About Demons (2000). His character isn’t quite right in the brain, so it’s hard to be sure if he isn’t just imagining the cultish creatures that have killed his friends and prompted his devil-worshipping brother to commit suicide. This humble indie manages to create a lot of tension and terror on a very small budget--although Katie Wolfe makes for a very special effect as a mystery woman who’s still quick to bare her mysteries!
