The Ferryman (2007)

Consider the titular ghoul in The Ferryman (2007). Similar harbingers of eternal doom have cropped up, seaside, in entertainments ranging from ancient myths to synth-pop hits of the 1980s. This time, The Ferryman takes the form of an old salt rescued by a group of young party-boaters as they head to Fiji for fun and frolic. Their grizzled guest, however, has other plans for them—namely, supernatural spookery and splattery slaughter. Amber Sainsbury’s bare flotation devices provide a couple of good things for her shipmates to hang on to, but otherwise The Ferryman is just a fun, scary trip to the bottom of the ocean.
