In The Tribe (1998) uptight real estate guy Jeremy Northam has to get rid of tenants who are blocking the development of some property. The problem is that the tenants are all part of a bizarre commune. Northam is soon lured into their weird world of private ceremonies--and you can’t really blame the guy, since a hottie like Joely Richardson is running the show. Her femme followers aren’t bad, either. Laura Fraser is especially fetching, and Anna Friel makes a fine recruitment figure with her dedication to free love and impulsive sex. Where do we sign up?
