The Ten (2007)

From a passel of The State alums comes The Ten (2007), a titillating take on the Ten Commandments starring Paul Rudd as the modern-day Moses who introduces each section of this daffy decalogue. Thou shall laugh as poor Paul is perpetually perturbed by petty interruptions from his many girlfriends, struggling valiantly all the while to keep the commandments on track. The first features Adam Brody as a guy lucky enough to get with perfect ten Winona Ryder, who has promised to go skydiving with her man. Unfortunately Adam's luck runs out fast: He forgets his parachute and ends up stuck waist-deep in mud. TV crews and lookyloos show up to further ruin his day, and before long he even has a throng of worshipers. From there, the film shall get good and dirty, spinning out ditties about sexual perversions of every stripe. Keep an eye out for one-time next big thing Gretchen Mol as an untouched flower whose new Mexican lover makes her bloom in all the right places.
