The Swimming Pool (1969)

The Swimming Pool (1969) is the kind of movie that’ll make a splash in your pants! Also known as La Piscine in France and The Sinners in Britain, this skinternational flick is set on the Côte d’Azur. There, recovering alcoholic writer Jean-Paul Leroy (Alain Delon) and his girlfriend Marianne (Romy Schneider) experience some sexual tension while on holiday. Things get even tenser when Marianne’s former lover Harry Lannier (Maurice Ronet) and his grown daughter Penelope (Jane Birkin) join them in the south of France. While the four vacation in a villa, Harry gets drunk and tries to get Marianne back. One thing leads to another and the next thing you know Jean-Paul dunks Lannier under the water as the women sleep. Even though Harry is the corpse of the story, Marianne is the one who is dead sexy. This is especially true when the foreign beauty slips a nip just 2 minutes into the movie! If that’s not hot enough, the hottie appears topless at the 16-minute mark. That’s when she lets Delon whip her bare back with a little branch. During the skintastic act, we are treated to views of her nude boobs. Merci beaucoup! No wonder the two were an item off camera. Speaking of things behind the scenes, the actors in this movie had to do each scene in French and in English so there were two versions to release. Didn’t they realize no words were needed to bring in fans when Ms. Schneider was baring her fine fanny?
