Romy Schneider had everything going for her as an actress. Born into Germany's premier acting dynasty, this child of film and theater was talented, connected, driven, and to top it off, beautiful in the way of an unattainable ideal. A former teen star, Romy's regal mien allowed her to specialize in playing royalty onscreen, portraying Empress Elizabeth of Austria in a handful of different films. Romy moved to France and caught the eye of Orson Welles, who cast her in The Trial (1962) which led to her becoming a Hollywood starlet in movies like Good Neighbor Sam (1964) and What's New Pussycat? (1965). Romy quickly returned to European films, however, and took advantage of our neighbors across the pond's lax feelings about nudity. Emerging out of a bubble bath, we get a clear view of her left Bavarian bosom as a lucky gentleman reaches between his legs, using his hand as a detachable shower head. Her final film role came in The Passerby (1982), and Romy died in 1982. But in 2009 Serge Bromberg used unfinished footage from the 1964 film Henri-Georges Clouzot's Inferno from 1964 in his documentary of the same name. In that film, we see a then 26 year old Romy's breasts in black and white as they peek out of her sweater, then are given a clear view of the damsels in distress when she's tied topless naked to a train track. Hopefully, more footage of this skinternational beauty emerges!
