Review

The Naked Truth tells the time-honored tale of a couple of hapless hacks (Robert Caso and noted voice-actor Kevin Schon), both of whom are named “Frank,” who inadvertently pick up a mafia kingpin’s suitcase at an airport which contains incriminating evidence against the Don. It’s kind of like Seven Heads in a Duffle Bag but without being burdened with all that “comedy…” In any case, the two Franks go on the lam once they realize that they’re being tailed by a Mafioso hit-dude, going “undercover” as make-up women working for a beauty pageant. “Hilarity,” as well as cameos by M. Emmet Walsh, Lou Ferrigno, Erik Estrada and Zsa Zsa Gabor ensue. Ooh wee, what fun! Several uncredited pageant babes are seen in various states of undress but the only real exposure comes from the completely naked Shelley Michelle, formerly of Kid Creole’s 1980s pop band. It’s certainly worth looking into but not even close to her exposures in such films as Body Double: Volume 2 or Rising Sun.
