The Loveless (1981)

Before comely Kathryn Bigelow became the first woman to win a Best Director Academy Award for her work on The Hurt Locker (2008), the lovely lady made her directorial debut with Monty Montgomery on The Loveless (1981). Also known as Breakdown, this indie flick was shot in just 22 days before being screened at the Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland. Despite its international release, this R-rated film is totally American as it focuses on a motorcycle gang that stops in a small southern town on their way down to the races in Daytona. The outlaw biker drama features Willem Dafoe, Tina L’Hotsky, Robert Gordon, J. Don Ferguson, Lawrence Matarese, Danny Rosen, Phillip Kimbrough, and the skin on Marin Kanter! As a young woman named Telena, Ms. Kanter is charmed by gang member Vance (Dafoe). After cruising together, the two wind up in a hotel room. As you can guess, the two are there to have sex! Not only does Vance get lucky, so does the audience since we get to see Marin’s bare body via a post-copulation scene that showcases the naked babe’s bare back and butt in bed. When she gets up after being startled by gunfire, the gorgeous gal flashes some side boob. If that’s not hot enough, the hottie shows off a bit of her bush too. Needless to say, Telena is the most lovable part of The Loveless. Too bad the cute character shoots herself in the head. Apparently, that’s just a literal way of making her dead-sexy!
