Review

Lucio Fulci, one of Italy's most revered fright-flick makers, turns to Edgar Allen Poe for inspiration in the ferocious feline thriller The Black Cat (1981). Patrick Magee is a psychic with pussy trouble. His ebony-hued pet tabby, he's convinced, is evil and somehow knocking off folks who traipse through the psychic's seaside English village. After Magee euthanizes the animal, it not only comes back to life, it possesses the mind of its owner and, mee-yow, does the kitty litter fly!
