Stop Me Before I Kill (1960)

Stop Me Before I Kill is a 1961 British thriller about a newly wed racecar driver named Alan Colby who is very confused by the concept of choking. He's severely injured in a car accident right after his wedding, leaving him with mental instability that borders on murderous. He and his wife Denise (played by Diane Cilento) retreat to the Cote D'Azur to recover, only there's one problem—every time the two try to have sex, he's overcome with the urge to strangle her (and not in a kinky way). A local psychiatrist tries to help Alan but instead falls in love with his wife (you had one job, dude) and convinces Alan he's killed her. When Alan figures out what's up, the two end up in a violent and disastrous argument.  We're not totally sure why Alan wants to kill his wife, though—after catching glimpses of her swimming naked in the ocean, we're pretty sure we'd keep her around forever. Petitioning to change the name of this movie to "Stop Me Before I Come."
