Deadly Intent (2016), much like the critically acclaimed The Babadook is a horror movie meant to show the painful, often poorly explained repercussions of unexamined grief. It begins when a family of three—Byrony, her son James, and her soldier husband—is ripped apart by the death of the latter. Both wrought with grief, the two become a bit estranged until Byrony realizes her son has been staging full-on death scenes with his toys and behaving almost maniacally. Soon enough, they realize they're being targeted by a supernatural force—one that takes the physical form the father. They have to get rid of this looming, destructive force before it separates them permanently. Somewhere amid the mayhem, Byrony (Rebecca Reaney) takes the time for a therapeutic bath and bare her boobs. She deserves it, don't you think?
