Cult genre auteur Freddie Francis’ The Deadly Bees (1966), a horror/thriller film adapted from H.F. Heard’s Sherlock Holmes pastiche novel A Taste for Honey, puts it all out there in the title: it’s basically just about a bunch of bees that kill people. More specifically it’s about a pop singer named Vicki Robbins (played by Suzanna Leigh) who retreats to a cottage on a small island to get away from it all. Also on the island are two beekeepers, and as the plot unravels through several twists and turns it is eventually revealed which of the two is responsible for siccing his killer bees on unsuspecting island visitors.

Two thirds of the way into the film, we see our heroine in her skivvies twice. First, she’s brushing her teeth while wearing nothing on top but a white bra, and then suddenly has to fight off a swarm of bees that begins attacking her. Then, bra-clad once again, we see her wake up from a terrible dream. Unfortunately we don’t get to see her stingers, but it’s a good view nonetheless.
