Of course, our version of Staff Picks has a decidedly skintillating angle, as we suss out which films from a particular subgenre are the best to find great nudity. This week let's cover one of the absolute BEST years in moviemaking: sexy ghosts.
It's Halloween, so it's the best time of the year to talk about a film phenomenon I love to call "sexy ghosts". These are films where either the character is a ghost and she is hot or - shockingly more predominately - someone is having sex with a ghost. It's apparently more common than you think!
Ghosts Can't Do It
Leave it to Bo Derek to make having sex with a ghost steamy as hell. She makes me believe in the supernatural with this scene in John Derek's 1989 classic. The title of this film sounds like a dare. Ghost Can't Do It? Oh yeah? Well, watch! This ghost gets on top of the nude Bo Derek as she sunbathes (which the busty blonde does best) and has its way with her sun-kissed body.
Penny Dreadful
Penny Dreadful is a wonderful series that mixes all of the spooky, gothic literature tropes into one show. It's a lot of fun for fans of vampires, Frankensteins, Victorian hotties, and sex with ghosts. There is a terrific scene in which Eva Green appears to be getting banged out by an invisible ghoul. She is having so much fun that she looks possessed - literally!
Ghost Ship
In 2002's Ghost Ship, sexy supernatural sirens lead men to their unwitting deaths. We are talking about hot spirits like Francesca Rettondini who looks like a true Italian vision with her hourglass figure and her dark brown hair. She seductively leads a man to the side of the ghost with her hot bod, but then she vanishes and he falls forward.
Don't you hate when that happens? You go to grab a round mound and then you just fall on your face? That's just another day on the Ghost Ship!
The Black Room
This film is more about a demon than a ghost, but it's still a spooky thing that haunts hotties and delivers nudity at every turn. There are actually quite a few nude scenes and a hot naked creature who has a tail showing off her full frontal sexiness (played by Milena Gorum).
I'm partial to the scene in which a clothed Augie Duke is suddenly stripped nude by the spirit who is haunting her. He lifts up her shirt and exposes her hard, pink nipples as well as her little bits. It's hauntingly hot!
