The fourth episode of Sharpe, the beloved British mini-series that first made Sean Bean a star, Sharpe's Enemy (1994) is set in 1813 Portugal. By this point in the series, our hero Richard Sharpe has saved the life of Sir Arthur Wellesley (David Troughton) and been made Lieutenant in the 95th Rifles brigade, gotten promoted to Captain, knocked up the sexy French fighter Teresa Moreno (Assumpta Serna), and been involved in all sorts of battles. This go round, Sharpe's enemies come from within, as a fellow Brit decides he doesn't want to fight for the Queen but would rather make money for himself. Pete Postlethwaite stars as Obadiah Hakeswill, the villainous leader of a band of British deserters. When Hakeswill takes Lady Isabella Farthingdale (Elizabeth Hurley) hostage and demands a huge ransom to release her, Major Richard Sharpe (Sean Bean) is called in to lead a rescue mission. But before you think this is a gorgeous, chaste woman of the upper class, it ends up Lady Isabella used to be a lady of the night who Sharpe would frequently pay for a night with that ass! And since he's risking his life to rescue her, she might as well throw him a freebie for the effort, right? Every girl's crazy about a sharp dressed man, but every British dude watching Sharpe's Enemy went crazy for the then unknown Elizabeth Hurley! Yes, before she became a skinternationally recognized sex symbol, she was the talk of the town thanks to her absurdly sexy jug jiggling in this period piece. There are some moments of un-costuming in this costume drama, such as when Ms. Hurley pulls down her blouse to briefly expose her bare boobs for Sharpe's viewing pleasure. Those things are a cut above! Look sharpe, in this one Elizabeth Hurley shows those legendary lactators!
