St. Ives (1998)

If you’re going to be taken prisoner during the Napoleonic Wars, it helps to be a stud similar to Jean-Marc Barr in St. Ives (1998). Barr’s unplanned vacation in Scotland has him yearning for local youth Anna Friel. He’s also vicariously helping out Anna’s mom Miranda Richardson, who’s sleeping with prison-camp commander Richard E. Grant--and enjoying it more now that Barr is giving Grant some hot tips on how to use his hot tip. There’s also an escape attempt in the works, of course. Nobody can blame Barr for wanting to bust out, especially since the fucking Frenchman has been enjoying treats such as Cécile Pallas’s pastries!
