She debuted in the musical Fiddler on the Roof (1971), but Ruth Madoc got us fiddling with her amazing nude scene in Under Milk Wood (1972). It was Ruth’s second prestigious project, working with Elizabeth Taylor, Peter O’Toole, and Richard Burton. It also featured her very respectable milkers, as Ruth happily waded topless into a lake. The scene perfectly captured some youthful exuberance--although it would take a decade before Ruth became a proper sex symbol to her fellow countrymen. As the shameless "Gladys Pugh" on the 1980 BBC sitcom Hi-de-hi!, Ruth nearly shorted out TV sets with her amazing collection of short shorts. Take a look, and you can see why her countrymen still admire Ruth’s body of work.
