An entirely crowdfunded film project shot on the Baltic Sea, Bartek Bala’s feature debut (also known as The Swarm) tells the story of a family - Father (Eryk Lubos), Mother (Roma Gasiorowska), Son (Adam Wojciechowski), and Daughter (Antonina Litwiniak) - living together on a tiny, isolated island away from civilization. As we get a glimpse into the minimalist world and watch their daily interactions, it becomes clear that it is the patriarch keeping them close together, almost in a stranglehold of fear and violence for the last ten years . They dutifully obey, though the Son is starting to dream of escape and even makes a fishing raft that, when found sends the Father on a tirade that involves him choking his boy. But then two things happen: the Mother discovers she is pregnant again and decides she does not want to raise another child in this environment. The other is that the Father’s health starts to deteriorate. Will his death free them, or will years of indoctrination into this way of life keep the family stuck in isolation forever? At least Roma gets a chance to free her funbags. We see her topless tatas as she sits in a tub outside at night (before being menacingly approached by Eryk). Roma’s rack is the most buzzworthy part of The Swarm!
