Very rarely do you hear a woman's name and one of the first things you think of is a bass line to her biggest hit song coming in hot! That's exactly what we hear when the name Nancy Sinatra drops in front of us and that name should ring a bell for plenty of reasons. First and foremost, the last name alone, because yes, she is the daughter of Old Blue Eyes himself, crooner and arguably the most famous person ever, Frank Sinatra. Also, her hit song "These Boots Are Made For Walking" which hit #1 on the Billboard Charts in the winter of 1966 and launched her into superstardom in the late 60s. Before all the success in the music industry though, Nancy with the laughing face (to quote her dear old dad's hit), got her start as an actress! With the last name, she had plenty of doors already kicked open for her by plenty of mobsters, but the adorable and charming Nancy Sinatra definitely became iconic by the sweat of her own brow. Her early film work is definitely a great peek into her before those boots took her anywhere and she comes our way in her very first feature film, 1964's For Those You Think Young. It's an early 60s beach/surf flick that saw the world introduced to her in a bikini being fed lollipops on her knees by Bob Denver of all people. Doesn't sound sexy, but it is... Anyway, Nancy's acting career was somewhat short lived, but her music career was insanely successful, multiple number one hits, a James Bond Theme song with "You Only Live Twice", several amazing songs recorded with Lee Hazelwood, and or course her last flick had to be opposite the one and only Elvis Presley before she called it quits on camera in 1968's Speedway!
