Men (2022), the third feature film from writer and director Alex Garland (Ex Machina, Annihilation), is a haunting fable about the worst instincts of the titular members of the sterner sex. Oscar nominee Jessie Buckley stars as Harper, a woman escaping an unspeakable tragedy in her personal life involving her husband James (Paapa Essiedu) by vacationing in a remote village in the English countryside. She's staying at the home of the awkward but polite Geoffrey (Rory Kinnear) but soon finds that not only is everyone she encounters in this town a man, but they're all variations of the same man, all played by Kinnear. To say any more would be to spoil the insane twists and turns this story takes, but the most disappointing twist is the lack of female nudity. There is a scene where Jessie Buckley nips out in a pink dress just past the one hour mark, but Men isn't just the title of this flick, it's also an indication of the only kind of nudity you're going to see!
