L' été en pente douce (1987)

L’ Été en pente douce (1987) begins with death and ends with tragedy. Fane, a feckless, down-on-his-luck nobody, meets beautiful Lilas and trades her to his neighbor for a lucky rabbit’s foot. His heart his changed, however, when he learns that Lilas’s mother has died. Together Fane and Lilas head out for her hometown. Fane’s plan is to marry Lilas, save his brother from the infirmary, and turn his life around. Too bad the townsfolk want no part of him. Pauline Lafont is obscenely sexy as Lilas, giving us multiple views of her awe-inspiring lactoids and feminine fuzziness.
