Hideous Kinky (1998)

Per her revealing roles in Heavenly Creatures (1994), Hamlet (1996), Jude (1996) and Titanic (1997), the curvaceous Kate Winslet repeatedly showed she’s not shy about removing her clothes on camera. So, expectations were high when Mr. Skin learned her flesh would be flashed in the R-rated flick Hideous Kinky (1998). Granted, Gillies MacKinnon’s film is no fetish ball, but it’s not hideous either. Based on Esther Freud’s semi-autobiographical novel of the same name, the exotic drama follows a disenchanted Brit named Julia (Winslet) who rejects Western decadence. As such, she and her daughters (Bella Riza and Carrie Mullan) move from London to Morocco in the early 1970s. Along the way, they encounter a variety of characters including Amidou (Sufi Sheikh), Charlotte (Abigail Cruttenden), Eva (Sira Stampe), Patricia (Michelle Fairley), and Santoni (Pierre Clémenti). As you can guess, Julia’s hippie road trip excludes most creature comforts, including some much needed medicine for her children. Eventually, Julia finds love with an acrobatic local called Bilal (Saïd Taghmaoui). And even though he’s a conman (Saïd Taghmaoui), the dude helps them return home. What’s it all about, Sufi? In short, this is a chick flick even the guys will like due to the views of Kate’s nude boobs! Breast of all, you don’t have to wait long to see her skin. In fact, Ms. Winslet exposes her rack in the sack just 15 minutes into the flick  —  emphasis on flick! As her pretty peaks pique your interest, this English rose will have audience members rising!
