French writer/director Cyril Collard also stars in Savage Nights (1992) as a bisexual filmmaker who’s just learning that he really likes women. Unfortunately, he’s also coming to grips with being HIV positive. None of this stops him from indulging his fondness for violent sex, both with wild girl Romane Bohringer and boyfriend Carlos Lopez. The end result is a dark and compelling tale about the extremes of self-obsession. To be honest, though, obsessive Mr. Skin readers might get distracted by the sheer perfection of Romane’s rack.
