Fuzzy Head (2023) is a passion project for its writer, director, and leading lady Wendy McColm, who stars as Marla, a woman struggling with insomnia. When her mother (Alicia Witt) is murdered, Marla goes on the lam in hopes of sorting through all of her traumatic childhood memories to unlock the key to her present state. Hot in pursuit of her is a crooked sheriff (Richard Riehle) and a mysterious figure known only as The Whistler (Rain Phoenix), hoping to discover the truth of what happened to her and her mother!
