Drawing Blood (2005)

Stunted by the abuse he receives at the hands of his violent father, a psychiatric patient breaks free of his mental-health facility and embarks on a bloodletting in the low-grade horror vehicle Drawing Blood (2005). Directed by brothers Jeffrey and Michael Wolinski, the film follows blossoming serial killer Jimmy Burns (D. Alex Marshall) as he’s inadvertently molded into a sociopathic killing machine by his stepfather, James (Robert Z’Dar). As the head of the local P.D. (Joe Estevez) struggles to solve the brutal killings, local citizens buckle down for a few nights of mortal terror. Of course, given the way that Jimmy’s female acquaintances seem content to undress, he might want to think about putting down the knife and pulling out a different instrument.
