Déjà mort (1998)

Leave it to the French to take an activity as innocent and natural as making porno films with your friends and infuse it with impassioned existentialist dread. The victims, er, protagonists, of Déjà Mort (1998) are four guys and gals who, despite being young, healthy, and good-looking, are depressed by what they see as limited vistas for the future. The movie's title in English translates portentously as Already Dead, which seems to argue for a fixed fate of fatality. On the way to the grave, however, the foursome plays musical bed mates and shoots some high-gloss, sweet-skin sex flicks; so their lives are not wasted.
