Curve (2015)

Curve (2015) shows off many things we love about Julianne Hough: She's an incredibly talented actress, she has a knack for physical drama, and she's smokin' hot. In this low budget horror flick from the masters of the genre: Blumhouse, she plays Mallory, a woman who is driving across the country on the way to her wedding when her car breaks down. When AAA can't save the day, a charming hitchhiker named Christian (Teddy Sears) offers to help her with her car, which is the first sign that something terrible is about to happen. She offers him a ride in return, and for a while their flirty back and forth has viewers convinced she's about to hike up her skirt for the hitchhiker. But it turns out that the psycho in Curve isn't looking to bend her over around the bend. He's a serial killer on the hunt for his next victim. He pulls out a knife but isn't wearing a seatbelt, so in a moment of ingenuity Mallory runs the car off the road. But her plan backfires though, since her leg ends up pinned under the car while he walks away scot-free. Christian leaves her there, but comes back every once in a while, to torture her, taunt her with food and water, or just to tell her about the local family he's kidnapped and is thinking about killing. Eventually she breaks free, of course, and then the battle is on. You'd think an epic, bloody thriller would include more ripped clothing, but we only get to see Julianne pull off her shirt once, showing off a black bra as she changes tops on the side of the road. It's not a bad scene, but we wish we got to see all of that sexy dancer's curves in Curve!
