The underseen sleeper Angel's Dance (1999) provides a new slant on hitmen, as aspiring gangster Kyle Chandler takes tutelage from philosophical vegetarian killer James Belushi. The training goes fairly well too, until Kyle’s final exam involves killing a stranger chosen at random from the phone book. The killers must have flipped to “B” for Babes, since Kyle finds himself stalking mega-meloned mortician Sheryl Lee. She’s surprisingly kinky and kooky and starts shooting back once she figures out that she’s a target. Sheryl’s also got a built-in defense that’s flaunted when she shows off in a soaking-wet full-frontal scene. Darlene Colaiuta isn’t nearly as fatal, but the big blonde--billed here as “Gisella Peters”--will get you shooting with a devilish cameo.
