Filmmaker Jane Campion helmed Holly Hunter into some Oscar-winning nudity with The Piano (1993), so Meg Ryan was happy to shed her girl next-door image (as well as her clothes) for the psycho-sexual mystery In the Cut (2003). Actually, the character’s wild side seems to be ignited when she stumbles on a guy getting a blow job in a bar. She’s soon jilling off, enjoying a grilling from Detective Giovanni A. Malloy (Mark Ruffalo), and hanging out near a sex club. Jennifer Jason Leigh also pops up as Meg’s slutty sister Pauline Avery, while daring darling Angela Sands (Heather Litteer) is rumored to actually be on her knees during her bathroom stint. The R rated flick isn’t stingy when it comes to exposing Meg’s talents. In one scene, the naked babe lays on her tummy so she can pleasure herself. In another, she reveals her rack in the bath. Breast of all, Meg flashes her boobs and pubes after getting busy with private dick Malloy. If that’s not arousing enough, the erotic thriller supplies plenty of thrills when it includes coverage in strip clubs. The tattooed bartender is punk princess Theo Kogan, and the dancers are Sandy Vital, Nancy La Scala, Ami Goodheart, and the amazing team of Sharon Riggins and Karen Riggins. No doubt, these pole performers put the motion into this titillating motion picture!
