Zero Woman Returns (1999)

Actually the sixth in a series of Zero Woman films, the splashy Japanese spy tale Zero Woman Returns (1999) follows the tail of Saori Ono as the enigmatic Rei, a horny hitwoman working for a covert government agency. (A different actress portrays Rei in each entry of this La Femme Nikita-inspired franchise.) Zero Woman scores another Stiff One in this film, though, as she falls for an equally mysterious criminal who’s moving drugs and firearms. Too bad that the guy’s main squeeze is another psychotic gal. There’s no malicious ménage, but Saori is dangerously fast to undress. Nao Eguchi will also get you quick on the trigger as Rei’s naked nemesis.
