Wind River (2017)

Following filmmaker Taylor Sheridan’s crime dramas Sicario (2015) and Hell or High Water (2016) is the neo-Western Wind River (2017). The latter pic completes the writer/director’s modern-day American frontier trilogy. Indeed, it captures the awe-inspiring, empty expanses of Wyoming — as well as the trappings of Wind River Indian Reservation, one of the places indigenous people of the U.S. find themselves. The story kicks off when a Fish and Wildlife Service agent (Jeremy Renner) finds the frozen body of his daughter’s friend Natalie Hanson (Kelsey Asbille) dead in the snow. When rookie FBI agent Jane Banner (Elizabeth Olsen) is sent in to investigate the case, you’ll be doing some investi-bating too via views of Natalie’s corpse and Kelsey’s muff at the 29-minute mark. Still, Mr. Skin would rather see the dead-sexy teen alive. After an hour and 16 minutes of the twisty plot, Ms. Asbille flashes her bush and bum thanks to a flashback. If that’s not hot enough, the hottie struts her stuff in skimpy skivvies. The R rated movie also includes Graham Greene, Julia Jones, Martin Sensmeier, and Ms. Olsen’s be-thonged butt cheeks! Suffice it to say, Elizabeth’s bouncy buns add thrills to this thriller. As such, the National Board of Review added the drama to its list of the Top Ten Independent Films of the year. Of course, the movie’s nude scenes rank number 1 with us! Word has it a sequel is in the works. We hope Wind River: The Next Chapter blows us away with more skin!
