Just because you may not have seen Virtual Encounters (1996), don’t let that stop you from enjoying Virtual Encounters 2 (1998). In fact, see them both as a doubly pleasing double feature. This sci-fi flick is a nerd’s wet dream. The story tells of a geeky computer guy who stumbles upon a virtual computer program that makes sex more than a fantasy for the pimple set. Naturally his roommate sees gold in them there virtual hills and sells time on the joy stick to hard-up college boys who always wanted to make it with dream girls such as Nikki Fritz and Chrissey Styler. But our hero is more of a romantic. He uses the program to learn to interact with a real girl he has a crush on. It’s a win-win situation, especially for the viewer. If only this technology was real and now.
