Venus (1984)

Venus — the goddess of love, beauty and desire —dates back to Roman mythology. Yet the tantalizing tart is so timeless, she continues to pop up in pop culture. Frankie Avalon, Bananarama and Lady Gaga sang about her in 1960, 1986 and 2013 respectively. And then there are the movies Venus (2006) and Venus (2023). Plus, Mr. Skin can’t forget the erotic French flick Venus (1983). Inspired ingenuity is the only way to describe this pic’s plot line. Leave it to the European aesthetic to concoct the story of a cosmetics tycoon who travels to a remote, paradisiacal Greek isle in the company of some sexy supermodels. Luckily for us, these pretty posers aren’t afraid to don beachwear that is skimpy to the point of nonexistence. In fact, the skinsational stunners strut their stuff in the buff as they compete to be named the Venus spokesmodel for the makeup czar’s publicity campaign. Imagine the lengths to which these gorgeous and ambitious creatures might slither in order to secure a victory. Of course, audience members are the real winners when Annie (Françoise Blanchard) touts her lingerie-clad body. If that’s not hot enough, she exposes her left nip and rubs her crotch with a microphone. Check, check, check it out! Better yet, Lia (Sophie Favier) bares her three Bs in the shower. Breast of all, Florence (Florence Guérin) repeatedly reveals her tanned rack and fluffy muff. Eventually, Venus (Odile Michel) displays her full frontal figure when emerging from the water. Quick, grab a towel!
