The Resident (2011)

Real estate agents worth their salt will tell you the three most important points to consider when choosing a home are location, location, location. That’s great, but you may also want to factor in psychos, supernatural spirits, scary monsters and super creeps. If you don’t know what we mean, check out Burnt Offerings (1976), The Tenant (1976), The Sentinel (1977), The Amityville Horror (1979), The Apartment Complex (1999), The Haunting (1999) and The Dead Girl in Apartment 03 (2022) to name a few. In The Resident (2011), emergency room physician Juliet Devereau (Hilary Swank) rents an apartment in the Big Apple from her secret stalker Max (Jeffrey Dean Morgan). Since she’s recently split with her hubby Jack (Lee Pace), Juliet soon falls into bed with Romeo. Make that, Max though she’s actually still in love with Jack. As such, Max uses his key to enter Juliet’s place while she’s at work. He spends this time jerking off in her tub and cleaning his teeth with her toothbrush. Unfortunately, those are the lesser of the dude’s crimes. Ultimately, he and Juliet have a fatal final face-off. The film also features Aunjanue Ellis, Christopher Lee, Nana Visitor, and a little bit of nudity! Ms. Swank looks swanky when she puts on her white panties after her character takes a candlelit bath by herself. The steamy scene includes views of Juliet’s foggy nude boobs and booty. But the true mystery of this mystery movie is whether that flesh belongs to Hilary or her body double!
