An all-rugged cast of hardened men (Lee Marvin, Cameron Mitchell, Richard Burton, and--uh-oh!--O.J. Simpson) flesh out the very-’70s exploitation potboiler The Klansman (1974), which is about a southern U.S. town that becomes a hotbed of white supremacy. After Linda Evans claims she was attacked, everybody goes KKKrazy. A black youth gets castrated, O.J. shows up as a machine-gun-toting radical, Sheriff Marvin attempts to initiate order, Burton attempts a redneck accent, and Lola Falana--a.k.a. The Queen of Las Vegas--busts out her jugadocious jackpots en route to an insanely violent climax.
