The Go-Getter (2007)

Emotional journeys meet literal ones in The Go-Getter (2007), when, after the death of his mother, a teen kid named Mercer nabs a stolen car and takes off for the West coast in search of his estranged brother. This may sound like a recipe for trouble, but it turns out that the car’s owner is the dulcet-voiced, uber-adorable Zooey Deschanel, with whom Mercer strikes up a telephone relationship.
